Our 8 days safari trip brings you the highlights of western Uganda, here the savannah meets tropical rain forests, during your trip expect to see savannah animals such us Hippos, leopard, giraffe, buffalos lions and the elephants. Get a chance to interact with world’s endangered Mountain Gorillas. This trip specifically includes the most interesting National Parks of Uganda: Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable and Lake Mburo National Park and visiting Igongo Ankole cultural Centre.

Arriving at Entebbe international airport, you will be warmly welcomed by the Gakima safaris representative and transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. Approx. 40km. Accommodation on you.

Hiking / Nature walks (optional activities of visiting Mweya peninsular with its scenic views, Ishasha River or Maragambo forests for viewing rooms where visitors can observe the resident Bats and Pythons). Accommodation: In Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Early morning game drive and later in the afternoon a boat trip on Kazinga channel to view enormous hippos and buffalos while elephants linger on the shores. (Optional activities Queens pavilion, Kikorongo African Art workshop, Uganda community carnivore $100 all day $ 50 half a day). Accommodation: In Queen Elizabeth National Park.


Destination: Queen Elizabeth – Ishasha Approx. 120km south sector of Queen.

After breakfast, we drive through Queen Elizabeth to Ishasha sector in the south for an afternoon game drive to search for tree climbing lions and the Topis. Accommodation: In Ishasha.


Destination: Ishasha – Bwindi Impenetrable Approx. 124km.

After breakfast, we drive to Bwindi Impenetrable, on our way we pass through interesting villages and have some brief talking views of the mountains. Bwindi Impenetrable is the world’s most remarkable encounters with rare mountain gorillas in the remote forests of south-western Uganda.


Accommodation: In Bwindi National Park but this depends on the group of gorilla you will be tracking in Buhoma, Ruhija and Nkuringo.

Activities


Early morning gorilla tracking in search for the world’s most remarkable encounters. With evening optional activities including; Batwa trail, Village walk and water fall walk along Congolese borders with incredible scenery.


Accommodation: In Bwindi National Park but this depends on the group of gorilla you will be tracking in Buhoma, Ruhija and Nkuringo..


Destination: Bwindi Impenetrable – Lake Mburo National Park. Approx. 271km.


Activities


After breakfast we drive to Lake Mburo National Park were we shall have a boat trip or a game drive in the afternoon and it offers a great way to view the Impalas, Buffalos, Topis and largest herd of zebras. Accommodation: In Lake Mburo.


Destination: Lake Mburo National Park – Kampala or Entebbe Approx. 253km.


Activities.


After breakfast, we drive to Igongo cultural Centre, its set on grounds of a former palace of Ankole king, this museum explores the people of southwestern Uganda. On our way back we can make a stopover at the equator.


Transfer to your accommodation in Kampala or Entebbe for your out bound flight.
