Booking Conditions

  1. Binding contract between us

    All bookings must be completed with gakima safaris limited. For you to book a trip with us, you are deemed that you have agreed to the booking terms and conditions. With the entire agreement between us and you. Your bookings are accepted by us on the basis where services to be provided are those referred to in your booking confirmation

  2. Deposit fee

    Clients are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of USD 96 per person per safari trip in order your bookings to be confirmed “please note increased deposits are required for some trips”, in case your booking is made within 30 Days to departure date, then you are required to pay full amount at the time of booking.

  3. Acceptance of bookings

    You will receive a confirmation invoice, this implies that your bookings have been accepted and from then a contact will exit between us and you from the date a confirmation invoice issued. The balance of the package price is due 30 Days before the departure date. Incase this balance is not paid on or before the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking

  4. Your personal bio data

    You are requested to provide us with your personal details, this allows us to confirm your travel arrangements. These includes your full names as on the passport, passport number, your nationality and date of birth. Failure to provide so, your booking can not be completed and confirmed.

  5. Cancellation by gakima safaris ltd

    We reserve the authority to cancel any tour program at any time up to 28 days before departure date, we may cancel any trip without prior notice due unpreventable circumstances, due natural disasters, political instabilities, terrorism or other external events that cold not allow us to operate in such conditions. In case we cancel your trip, you can decide to transfer your amount to alternative departure dates. Or get full refund. In circumstances were the cancellation is due external events that are beyond our control, less refunds are issued due unrecoverable expenses.

  6. Cancellation by a client

    In case you happen to cancel/ element some activities off your booking, cancellation fee applies. For your cancellation to be valid, only when we receive a written letter confirming your cancelation to us. Canceling your trip 30 days to departure date, no deposit refunded.

  7. Limitation of liabilities

    Gakima safaris works with a network of companies, government agencies and individual agents who helps in the smooth running of our safari trips as agents of the third parties. We are not responsible for the acts of wrong / omissions of these third parties. We are excluded from any liability you may surfer indirectly or direct resulting from your own participation in the trip or breach of the booking terms and condition. For any condition or warranty which would otherwise be implied by law into these booking terms and conditions (implied warranty), we are excluded. The extent an implied warranty can’t be excluded, our liability in respect of the implied warranty is limited to (in our absolute discretion) Refund of the total amount received by gakima safaris limited from you in line with your booking. The provision of another similar safari trip to an equivalent value. Any claim from you is excluded to the extent that it is for direct, indirect or consequential loss, economic loss, and loss of profits or for indirect, special, punitive or exemplary damages.

  8. Rising of a complaint & claims

    In case of any complaint on our service during your safari trip, please inform your tour guide/ tourist guide immediately so that efforts are made to solve that challenge. If satisfaction is not delivered at then you should address to us in writing within the next period of 30 days.

  9. Acceptance of risk

    You agree that the kind/ nature of your safari trip is adventurous and you participation involves a degree of personal risk, some trip itineraries involves visiting places where the geographical attributes, cultural and political futures presents physical challenges and risks that are greater compared to our present day to day live. We advise you to take care of yourself and we acknowledge that your decision to travel is made in light considering the nature of your safari trip and accept that you are aware of the personal risks that are associated with such travel.

  10. Authority on trip

    We expect you to obey decisions made by your “tour guide or tourist guide”. Our tour guide is always final on all aspects that are likely to affect your safety or well-being of any person involved in the safari trip. The tour guide reserves the right to direct you to leave the trip there and then with no refund in case you fail to comply with the group leader directives on matters concerning your safety or well-being on the trip. We advise you to act in laws regarding customs, foreign exchange drug regulations of all countries you intend to visit at all times.

  11. Passport and visa

    You must carry a valid passport for at least sex month and beyond, your are required to obtained all appropriate visas for the countries you intend to visit during your trip.

  12. Travel insurance

    Travelers are advised to obtain travel insurance covering against personal accidents, death, medical expenses this enables to cater for emergencies in case you face such.

  13. Flexibility

    We both appreciate and acknowledge that this kind of travel requires reasonable flexibility and you should allow for any alternatives. All travel itineraries provided are representatives all activities to be under taken during your trip, at times the itineraries, routes, schedules, modes of transport and amenities could be subject to alteration without prior notice due to unpreventable circumstances.

  14. Itinerary change

    We reserve the right to change your tour program, schedule after your departure due local circumstances or external factors outside our control (flights cancellation among others) you are deemed to cover all the cost that might result from alteration of your itinerary. However, if we make a major change in our itinerary before your departure. We will inform you as soon as possible if there is time to do so before your departure. When a major change is made you have the choice of either accepting an alternative safari tour offered, or take a refund of money paid on the land portion of the trip only.

  15. Privacy policy

    Your personal bio data collected might be used for any purpose in line with arranging or operation of your safari trip. Your details may be disclosed to our agents, other service providers in order to organize for you a successful trip. At times we may send you our special offers, organized events on sell. We promise to keep your details in line with our privacy policy.

  16. Optional activities

    Optional activities inducted in the itineraries are not part of the travel package paid for, you agree that any assistance rendered to you by your tour leader. You accept that you are reliable to cater for all extra expenses resulting from optional activities and personal expenses.
