Kibale National park “the primate capital of the world” the park is the most magnificent of Uganda’s tropical rain forests and it’s one of the most rewarding area to explore. Kibale boasts of Chimpanzee as the main attraction, 13 species of primates including the localized Red Colobus, L’Hoest’s monkeys and endemic Uganda’s Mangabay.

Tour Highlights.

  • Arriving at the airport and be received by Gakima safaris ltd representatives on day one, then check in.
  • Travel from Kampala to Kibale National Park and visit Amabere ganyinamwiru with optional activities of hiking to crater lakes or go for bird watching at Bigodi Swamp.
  • Go for Chimpanzee tracking activity as well as experiencing the jungle life at Kibale.
  • After a relaxed morning, Travel back to Kampala for your out bound fright.

Destination: Entebbe Airport – Kampala


Arriving at Entebbe international airport, you will be warmly welcomed by the Gakima safaris representative and transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. With an optional tour of Kampala city including Uganda museum, the cathedrals (Namirembe or Rubaga), mosques (Kibuli or Gaddafi), Buganda kings palace, Kasubi Tombs and local markets. Approx. 40km. Accommodation on you.

Destination: Kampala – Kibale National Park. Approx. 400km.

Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale the world’s primate capital. Kibale has the most chimpanzees in Uganda an Africa as a whole. Other primates found in Kibale are Red tailed monkey, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkey and the uncommon L’Hoest monkey.
